Cancer-fighting properties
Cancer, one of the leading causes of mortality globally, is caused by the uncontrolled development of damaged cells in the body, such as a tumour. Probiotics included in fermented foods such as water kefir are suggested to inhibit these cells from reproducing by boosting the immune system. Initial research is encouraging, particularly for individuals with breast cancer.

Water should be used to dissolve the sugar. Honey should not be substituted for sugar. Honey has antimicrobial properties that will hurt or slow the growth of your water kefir grains.
Combine sugar water, kefir grains, raisins, half a lemon, and a slice of ginger in a glass jar.
Allow your water kefir to brew at room temperature in a glass jar with a lid or cover for 24 – 72 hours, depending on the strength you want and the temperature of your home (Do not seal the lid!). The faster water kefir ferments in your home, the faster it brews.
Bottle the beverage into smaller containers after removing the water kefir grains, raisins, lemon, and ginger.
Allow the smaller bottles to sit for another 24 – 48 hours to allow fermentation and spontaneous carbonation to take place.
Enjoy! Pour over ice and serve cold.
Water kefir has a wide range of applications. This basic recipe may be slightly modified to incorporate extra helpful herbs or flavours, resulting in a wide variety of probiotic beverages. Some people replace the ginger with fresh mint, anise, or cardamom, while others use figs instead of raisins. I’ve even turned dried cherries into rose-coloured water kefir.
Kefir is a probiotic, enzyme-rich fermented food that includes friendly bacteria that assist maintain your “inner ecology.” It is like Kombucha, except instead of tea, it is made with milk or sugared water and living Kefir grains. It is far more nutritious and medicinal than yoghurt since it includes complete protein, essential minerals, and crucial B vitamins.
Kefir is easy and inexpensive to make at home.
Kefir is an excellent source of nutrients for pregnant and nursing moms, the elderly, and people with compromised immune systems.
Please bear in mind that it is uncommon for grains to require a few brews after being supplied to you. Even if the drink does not appear to be fermenting, please refill the water every 24-36 hours since this is required to feed the grains.
